Andrew Gallacher

This is the website, blog and archive for artist Andrew Gallacher

In this portfolio you can access images and videos of Andrew’s work and you can read his blog. This is a gallery of his art, of collaborative works and a variety of projects, concepts and experiments.

Andrew mostly makes conceptual art using photography and video, text and image, abstract painting, soundscapes, writing, audio and visual installation and interventions. He is experimenting with elements of performance art and is interested in the idea of Media Transition.

Here are also ideas about contexts, notions of history and a selective archive.

“The postmodern artist becomes a manipulator of signs more than a producer of art objects, and the viewer an active reader of messages rather than a passive contemplator of the aesthetic…”
